The Shiba Inu is the smallest of the Japanese native breeds of dog. He was originally developed for hunting by sight and scent in the dense undergrowth of Japan's mountainous areas. Alert and agile with keen senses, he is also an excellent watchdog and companion. His frame is compact with well-developed muscles. A spirited boldness, a good nature, and an unaffected forthrightness, which together yield dignity and natural beauty. The Shiba has an independent nature and can be reserved toward strangers but is loyal and affectionate to those who earn his respect.
The Japanese Kanji symbol we have chosen to represent our kennel is VICTORY. It is made up of not one but two characters. The first character is written with 12 strokes and by itself has the meaning of Excel or win. The second character is written with 7 strokes and means advantage or Benefit. Put together they form the new meaning victory. Our goal is to Excel and be able to provide you with the Benefit of an excellent Shiba whether for show or as a family companion.
